Before traveling to Brazil, a priority would be to find a list of insurance companies in Brazil so you can secure protection needed.  In most cases, the Brazil insurance company is owned and operated by true professionals in the field but unfortunately, not all companies are looking out for your best interest.  For this reason, some of the responsibility falls back on you in finding the company that is trustworthy so you can purchase protection as needed.

As most places in the world, if you drive you will need to ask for a quote from a list of insurance companies in Brazil.  Since insurance coverage is mandated by law, coverage is not an option.  However, the exact type of coverage and the amount of coverage would be based on what you want but also want you would qualify for so talk to the representative of the Brazil insurance company you choose for assistance.

In addition to automobile coverage, you want to get a quote from a list of insurance companies from Brazil as well.  Remember, whether you are moving to this part of the world, or going on vacation or work study, you would still want to look at health coverage with a reputable Brazil insurance company.  As far as coverage type, the most common options within a policy include major medical, emergency evacuation, and repatriation of remains, 24-hour emergency help line, baggage, and legal assistance.

However, accidental death and dismemberment, kidnapping, terrorism, life, and motor vehicle insurance policies are also available.  You want to take stock of your medical history and current health needs before traveling.  Then, if you have some type of special need, you may need to shop around through the list of insurance companies I Brazil to find one that would provide the protection you need.  Of course, you could also look for special coverage locally if needed.

As you get quotes from a list of insurance companies in Brazil, you also want to ask about financial limits for coverage.  This would be important even if the policy applies to vacation or work travel.  Then, you want to ask the Brazil insurance company if evacuation and repatriation is included, the date the policy would start and the ending date, and if you would be required to pay for medical care out-of-pocket, followed by you being reimbursed, or if expenses would be paid directly by the Brazil insurance company.
